My academic route:
I did my B.Sc. in Mathematics and Statistics (minor Computer Science) at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Cyprus from 2001-2005. I then continued on with an M.Sc. in Statistics (May 2008) and a Ph.D. in Statistics (August 2010) from the Department of Statistics at Pennsylvania State University.
From August 2010 to August 2013 I was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Michigan Technological University (Houghton, MI) and I spent a period from September 2012 to May 2013 in the Statistics and Applied Mathematics Sciences Institute (SAMSI – RTP, NC). On September 2013, I joined the School of Mathematics at Cardiff University as a Lecturer. In August 2019 I was promoted to Senior Lecturer and in August 2021 I was promoted to Reader. On September 2023, I joined the Department of Information Technologies at the University of Limassol as a Professor of Quantitative Methods and Analytics.
